On the 26th November 2003, the last British Airways Concorde G-BOAF flew low over her birth city of Bristol, before landing at the Filton airfield factory site where she had been built just 24 years earlier. She would be the last Concorde to fly, effectively bringing to an end the historic era of supersonic passenger aviation.

The A27M Cromwell Mk.IV was the most heavily produced version of the new Cruiser Tank Mk.VIII and matched the Centour hull with the highly effective Rolls Royce Meteor engine (A27Meteor), which allowed the tank to travel at impressively high speeds. The tank also featured a quick firing 75mm gun, which was a re-bored version of the British 6 pounder gun and allowed the commandeer to have the option of using American produced armour piercing or high explosive rounds. Although originally introduced in November 1943, persistent problems with the new gun's operation meant that the Mk.IV would not make its combat introduction until the Normandy landings in June 1944, where its speed and mobility would complement the Sherman tanks, which were available in greater numbers. The Boulton-Paul Defiant was the only "Turret Fighter" to enter service with the RAF. The Defiant used the philosophy that a fighter aircraft, armed soley with a turret bristling with machine guns would be able to enter a bomber stream causing havoc and the turret would also enable it to defend itself from enemy fighters. During its first few engagements during the Battle of Britain in 1940, enemy pilots were taken by surprise and the Defiant fared well but soon the Lutwaffe pilots worked out its weaknesses, especially the lack of forward firing guns and the Defiant was soon relegated to night fighting duties were it fared better.

A solvent-based cement suitable for plastic model kits only.
The product is a low viscosity version of Humbrol Poly Cement to enable application by brush.
Substrate: Common plastics used to manufacture model kits including polystyrene and ABS. The product works by melting the plastic on application and 'welding' two glued pieces of plastic together to form a strong bond.
Coverage: Depends on thickness of application.
Application: Directly onto plastic model kits. An integral brush is supplied. A cocktail stick can be useful to apply sparingly to small areas or fine details.
Drying time: Surface dry in 10-20 minutes. Fully dry in 1 hour. Drying times will vary according to ambient temperature and humidity.
How to clean: Can be removed if not fully dry by re-dissolving with more Liquid Poly or Poly Cement. Permanent once dry.

The Hurricane was developed as a replacement for the RAFs pre-war bi-plane fighters such as the Hawker Fury and Gloster Gauntlet. Considered revolutionary when it was unveiled in 1935, by the start of the WWII the earliest versions with fabric covered wings and two bladed propellers had fallen behind the performance of the best German fighters. Nevertheless, once fitted with 3-blade propellers these early Hurricanes were very successful during the Battle of Britain in 1940.

The De Havilland was the second jet fighter to enter RAF service, coming after the Gloster Meteor. Featuring a twin boom fusalage, which was to become a common feature of De Havilland designs, the Vampire proved a capable early jet fighter. The Vampire T.11 trainer was developed from the fighter versions and served the RAF until 1967. It was an excellent trainer and examples continue to fly today both in the UK and further afield.
